My current system out of the blue died. Something chain reacted and caused my motherboard to completely die along with burning up my 980ti which has no warranty for a replacement. Also have a i7 6700k but since I have to buy a new motherboard I thought I would pay some money and do a whole new system.

It has been a <Mod Edit> week for me and I'm in desperate need of a new gaming computer asap. (I have lots of tabs open and streams b background usually)

I wanted to get my hands on the Ryzen 5900x to make it last a long time but it seems they are never in stock so I decided to go with the 5800x.

I've compiled a list of components below, would appreciate some feedback. I'm looking for a beast of a machine. I didn't add a GPU because my 980Ti completely died and I don't want to buy any of the latest cards due to their silly prices. I currently have a spare 750Ti (lmao) which I will use until eventually the 3080Ti comes out.

I will be using this case which I already have - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/corsair-c...16-cs.html

i've struggled to pick a stick with a motherboard. im overthinking it and i will be sad if i choose something and later regret it, any opinions on the picture of what i chosen?
.
i plan on getting a 4k monitor and a 3080ti and some point, will this be powerful enough

Yeah, it should all work fine. But technically...

The Tomahawk has better VRMs and thermals at the same price. This should help you in terms of picking motherboard...

3600 mhz CL16 is faster than 3200mhz CL16 RAM.

X570 boards have PCIex4 support and it is wiser to go with a gen. 4 NVME to take full advantage of it. 970EVO is gen. 3.

Thanks for the reply.

This one is fine? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...-am4-ddr4-x570-atx-motherboard-mb-351-ms.html

I would go with the x570 for better performance and features.

Thanks a lot for your help.
One more thing in regards of ram I heard the trident 32gb is better than the corsair veagance. Is there any real difference? At this point I'm just overthinking everything even regards of ssd. Is using 1 ssd for os and game/programs a good idea or 1 small ssd purely for os,?
Thatals my last concerns and I should be good to purchase the parts!

Trident Z is a little bit faster on benchmarks but you wont feel any real difference in day to day usage. The better choice would be to go with the 3600mhz CL16 kit mentioned above.

For SSD, one bigger drive would be faster than two smaller drives due to bigger cache. You can always create a 100gb-150gb partition for the OS.

Perfect! I'm now stress free and will order the parts tonight. Now I have to try restrain myself wanting to look at different parts again. It's crazy how much there is to choose from. Cpu coolers for example I didn't know where to start but I picked the one above purely because it had good reviews

£50 saving on the psu and motherboard if you buy from box (absolutely excellent firm to deal with too)

Noctua DH15 is one of the best coolers out there. It is an absolute beast. The Black version is the same unit but looks better.
