I read the sticky thread and I'm pretty sure I hit all those in the instructions, I added a new mobo, hard drive and cpu to my computer: Asrock 970 extreme4, fx8350 amd cpu, Western Digital WD VelociRaptor, and ripjaws 8gb 1333mhz ram.
After turning on the computer it flashed the splash screen very fast and nothing happened so I restarted it then it booted fine, so I threw in the windows disk got it install etc etc then after doing drivers and what not I restarted and it did the same thing and it stays at a black screen, eventually trying turning it on and off several times it boots normal?? I've never ran into this problem before, is it the mobo or psu? I have no idea.
