Hi all.
I have bought the gaming k3 mobo with a gigabyte gaming g1 6gb gpu, i5 6500 and 16gb ram. I have all the parts ready to be built. My question is when i have built my pc and turned it on, how do i go about setting up the bios? Is it pretty straight forward or will i need to know what im doing before attempting it? This is my first build so i dont have a clue and dont want to turn it on mess it up before i even get a chance to use it.

It's for overclocking non-k Intel processors on a Z170 motherboard.

Yes installing OS is pretty straight forward, you should be fine without changing settings in BIOS.
You should be fine without having to set anything up, apart from maybe changing the boot order if you're installing Windows from a USB stick. If you're using DDR4 memory faster than 2133Mhz you might have to enable XMP to actually see those speeds.

You can BLCK OC the i5-6500, but only after installing the correct BIOS version.

My ram is 2× 8gb corsair vengeance 2400Mhz. What is BLCK OC? And yes i will be installing windows from a usb. I will be installing os from usb. Is ot pretty straight forward then? My os isnt arriving until tomorrow though but i want to get my pc setup up tonight when i get home to make sure it all works fine so can i turn it on make sure its working then just turn it off again without installing windows? Sorry if that sounds stupid lol
