I just complete a new b uild using GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7.

Intel Core i7-12700KF - Core i7 12th Gen Alder Lake 12-Core (8P+4E) 3.6 GHz LGA 1700 125W Desktop Processor - BX8071512700KF

G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 7200 (PC5 57600) Desktop Memory Model F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RK

Corsair RM850

Corsair iCUE H115i Elite CAPELLIX XT Liquid CPU Cooler

EVGA 1080Ti

It powers up, all fans and lights are working. It will not post. The screen works with my other system. I have tried reseating the CPU, I've checked all connections, I've tried running a single stick of RAM in different sockets. I have tried using the integrated graphics. It will stay on and run for a while, then turns off and restarts. Any advice would be appreciated. Seems like it's a defective MB.

Are the rams populating slots A2 and B2? Seeing how you have an EVGA GTX1080Ti in the specs,. what parts are recycled from your older build? If the PSU's recycled from your older build, how old is the unit and what did it power throughout it's tenure?

They were. I subsequently found that it would post using one RAM stick. I have to see if the other stick is dead. So I'm up and running.

The next issue: I cannot enable WIFI. There is no WIFI icon in network settings. I have updated the BIOS to the most recent, downloaded and installed the wifi driver from Gigabyte. In device manager, it is listed as an unknown network device and it will not let me update the driver to the one I downloaded
