New Build with i5-2500K for around $500

Hi All,

This is my first gaming build and I am looking to spend at max $500. I am really excited about this as it would be my very first build after almost 4 with a laptop. Looking forward to lots of guidance from the community. Thank you all in advance.

Approximate Purchase Date: 1-2 week (hoping to buy everything by Black friday/Cyber monday)
Budget Range: less than $500 (to clarify, this doesn't include the CPU I already hv)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Bf3, L4D2, Payday), Movies, Web, Android App dev, etc
Parts Not Required: I just bought a i5-2500K (last week’s Microcenter deal for $100), Monitor, OS, keyboard, mouse, speaker/headphones
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any legit website is fine
Country of Origin: US
Parts Preferences: by brand or type : No preference as such
Overclocking: Maybe in a year or 2
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in a year or 2, though I don’t know much about it.
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments:
I am looking for a case with a handle on top (I will be moving soon and also will be carrying it to a friend’s place for LAN Parties). Are front USB 3.0 ports common in PC cases?
Need atleast a TB of Space and 8 GB of RAM.
Would like to snuck in a Blu-ray ROM/DVD writer.
I would prefer a mobo with bluetooth and wi-fi (I am not sure whether they are a standard feature or not). Also what chipset would go well with the i5-2500K, a Z77 or a Z68 (I know one is IB optimized the other is SB optimized).

The case as you requested, since you have a i5-2500k i recommend the z77 extreme 4 for it price and oc and the hyper 212 cpu cooler.
I think you needed a gfx card so the 7850 1gb will be the best on you budget.
Bluray drive goes off the budget and in my opinion not necessary.

Can you pls explain the need for a CPU Cooler, are the stock coolers that bad or is that in because I may OC the CPU down the line?

Also the power supply I selected was on the basis of what I hv read about it (newegg & amazon reviews): its 600W, 80+ bronze and it is only $30. I know it is a bit more than what I require rt now, but there is a possibility that I may OC my CPU (its a K afterall). Also its not like it will constantly draw 600W all the time

I am leaning a lot towards the Extreme3 at newegg due to its cost and the free ripjaws (8GB). Can anyone tell me why the extreme4 is superior to this, except for the fact that there is a missing SATA and USB 3.0. They also have different LAN and onboard audio chipsets, does that make a huge difference?

As I am a casual gamer who is at least not going to OC the CPU anytime soon, is the extreme4 a better bet for me than a extreme3 in terms of future proofing?
