[SOLVED] New build won’t boot

Just got done putting my new pc together and when I turn the psu switch on the motherboard RGB comes on and changes colors but when I click the power button, nothing happens. No fans, nothing.

I disconnected the GPU and took out a stick of ram and still nothing. Same thing happens. I’ve checked connections and everything seems to be in order.

Exactly what I hoped wouldn’t happen is now happening and I’m starting to lose hope. Any ideas?

MOBO:Asus TUF B450m

GPU: Sapphire Pulse Rx 580 8GB
PSU: Corsair CX650M
Chassis fans: Noctua NF- P14s redux 900 (x2)
SSD: Crucial MX500 250 GB

UPDATE: Reconnected the front panel connectors and disconnected GPU and put the 1 stick of ram in dim B2 and now all fans including cpu come on. Then I reconnected GPU and seated 2nd stick of ram and still fans come on. Can’t get anything on my screen while using a DP cable and I’ve tried an HDMI cable. when mouse and keyboard are plugged into usb on mobo they don’t turn on.

Was going to say - sooner sounds like dead PSU or simply wired up incorrectly if literally nothing happens.

I appreciate you may have already considered these steps, but it really does solve the majority of problems

mouse and keyboard don’t light up using USB ports on motherboard, GPU fans come on, and no display with hdmi and dp cables. I’ve done just about everything on that list except for completely taking the motherboard out and breadboarding it.

I would try breadboarding it.
Do you have a speaker included to get beep codes?

Alas, a couple hours later and lots of troubleshooting, the problem has been solved. Input is now working. Thank you for your help. I took everything out of the build and completely restarted. Not exactly sure what fixed the problem but something did lol.

Glad you got it sorted. Sounds like something was probably not secured properly or slightly wired up oddly.
