New build won't boot- I think it might be the cpu?

When I hit the power button, everything whirs into action... but no screen. Everything appears to be getting power, but the motherboard doesn't seem to detect the usb mouse or keyboard. It also doesn't recognize the monitor. After several attempts at troubleshooting (the RAM tests, the gpu slot test, everything I could think of.) I begin to wonder if something's wrong with the processor, so I boot the computer, let it run for 30 seconds or so, and cut the power. I take the fan off of the processor, and see that the processor isn't even a little warm. It's very cold- doesn't feel like anything was happening at all. Is there another solution I'm just not seeing? It seems like a dead processor to me.

The build is:
Gigabyte 970a-ds3p ATX motherboard
AMD FX 8320 Black edition processor (8-core, 3.5ghz)
8g Ballistix ddr3 RAM
NVIDIA GTX 750

I have tried using a few different monitors, and different plug ins too (hdmi, vga)- and different monitors, same results every time. I don't have an internal tower speaker to connect to the motherboard, so I don't hear the POST beeps :/

That said, the main monitor I'm trying to connect to is a widescreen BenQ computer monitor. I'm using a VGA cable.

I have more thermal paste to re-apply if necessary.

I have tried clearing the CMOS, and it didn't change anything. I don;t believe it is the graphics card because I was just using it in my old build a few days ago, and it is relatively new still.

Sorry to say, but just because a graphics card is relatively new, doesn't mean it won't fail. You should still try to test it.
