PROBLEM: Building my fiancee a PC for light gaming/photo editing and all that. Got everything together, hit power button and all the lights and fans will turn on. No beeps. The monitor won't turn on just displays the "No Signal R G B" and I can't power it down by holding down the power button or just pushing it. Reset button won't work either.
Things I've tried so far...
1. Rehousing the CPU, checked CPU - no bent pins
2. Made sure MOBO had proper spacing with spacers (it did)
3. Make sure everything was securely connected and the correct way (a lot of google help said "hurr make shure duh CPU connector is plugged in!")
4. Tried every variation I could with the two RAM sticks. One in one out, different connections.
5. Tried both PCI ports with video card.
6. Tried different PSU (both are working fine with good stable voltage)
7. GPU works (i put it back into my PC and am typing with it displaying the text right now)
8. Pulled and reinserted the MOBO battery CR2032
9. Cleared CMOS
10. This MOBO does not have an on board video card!
11. Ran the board outside of the case and still wont work.
just found this tidbit on Newegg
"B350 and X370 motherboards have compatibility issues with Ryzen processors and DDR4 memory. The issue is related to an AGESA update in the BIOS that is not shipped with some motherboards, preventing the unit from a successful POST."
wot m8
going to buy an Anthlon CPU tomorrow to see if it will POST and load the new BIOS then try the RIZEN. If you think it could be something else in the meantime please tell me!
I'm running out of ideas. Is the new MOBO dead and should I RMA it? Going to get a cheap compatible crap CPU from best buy to try and narrow that out tomorrow.
