New build won't power on my screen

Just built my first computer and everything was going smoothly until I powered up my PC and find out that my screen doesn't power on. My PC turns on but my screen doesn't turn green. I connected my screen to my video card since my motherboard doesn't have a slot for my monitor. I have tried moving the video card down another PCI-E but it doesn't work. I use an DVI-A adapter to connect to my computer. Been stuck on this for 2 days, please help!

Verify that both power connectors on the motherboard are firmly connected to the power supply (both the 4 or 8 pin and 24 pin connectors). Also make sure that the PCIe power connectors are firmly connected to the video card.

Yes, they are all connected. Powered the PC on and motherboard and video card turns on.

No, it's still not working. I bought a new monitor but it used the HDMI cable too. Didn't work either.

Unfortunately I don't. Do you think I should request for an exchange/return?

My monitor works on my old computer. I have to use an adapter to connect the HDMI cable to a DVI plug in.

I don't have that small speaker thing so I can't hear a beep. And yes, power supply, CPU, case, and vid card fans all spin.

Look at the back of the GPU board very carefully for any brown or burn marks. If you don't find any... I'm guessing your card came DOA.

There were no marks. So even if the video card's fans work, it can still be dead?

The fans will come on when it has power, which doesn't mean the card works. There could be a lot of other things wrong with it. So yes.

The fans have a separate power supply mostly, so they'll turn on the moment the PSU turns on.
As Nanekud says, its possible the video card is not working.

Also, I'm not sure if you can replace the mobo, but since your CPU has integrated graphics, you should try to get a mobo with a vga/dvi output. That way you atleast have a backup if your graphics card doesn't work properly.

I can only exchange the mobo for the same one, sadly.

Found a new error. Mobo debug keeps reading memory initialization error. No usable memory detected. They're in the right slot and are matching. Tried using only 1 stick but still doesn't work.

Used both sticks separately and still have the error.

Most likely a RAM problem, but a board or GPU problem would also be likely.

Should I just see if I can exchange my RAM, vid card, and motherboard? Kinda doubt I can though...

Should I re-order the things that are faulty and rebuild again and see if I can get it to work or should I just pay around $100-200 getting the help I need.
