I normally have no problems with building desktops that I can't solve but this one has me stumped. I'm building a new computer for a friend:
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
CPU: AMD FX-4100 (Bundled with MOBO)
RAM: 4GB (2x2GB) Pareema DDR3 1333
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER RS-450-ACAA 450W
I originally tried it with two old power supplies, so when it didn't boot with either of those, I assumed they weren't providing enough power. I bought the Cooler Master, hooked everything up, and still nothing. I even tried bread-boarding it, and I'm not getting anything. Fans turn on, but there is no video and the keyboard lights don't turn on. There are no system beeps (with or without RAM). The only things I have attached right now are the power supply, the CPU, the system speaker, monitor and keyboard. Starting computer with paperclip between power pins and nothing at all. If anyone can give me anything to try before declaring that some component is dead, I would be very grateful
