Edit: I originally wanted just wanted to know if I needed a bios flash but then I realized advice for my whole setup could be useful.
*I also live in the US

So I'm tryna build a pc and I was wondering if a BIOS update would be necessary.
Here's my mobo and cpu:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07STGGQ18/ref=twister_B095DPMLCZ?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

Here's my full parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kKQJrr
GPU: https://www.newegg.com/asus-geforce..._re=rtx-_-14-126-349-_-Product&quicklink=true

Let me know if you have any feedback for the parts I'm using e.g. parts I could get a better price on, parts I could change, compatibility issues, etc.
Please note that I'm tryna keep the budget under $1380 USD

B450 Tomahawk MAX does not need a bios update to work with a Ryzen 5 3600. I also have the B450 Tomahawk its a great value motherboard but right now with prices of B550 being the same or really close i would look for a B550 that can also support PCI-e 4.0.

Solution
@dingobud if you're on a budget then always go big with the SSD and add the storage drive later on down the road otherwise you'll regret it.

This build will beat that Ryzen 3600 7 out of 10 games. That Vulcan Z RAM works good with Asus boards .. in fact Tom's did a review on it.

A better look at that board.

And this build will literally mop the floor with the Ryzen 3600. This set up will allow you to run that cpu with the power limits turned off in the bios. It's a round a bout way of OC these locked cpu's ... it keeps them in turbo boost mode longer.
