New Build

Hi Forum,

I've just sold my Dell XPS 8300 and eager to start my new beast build

Before I start though, I want to know if it would be wise to wait for Intel's new Haswell processors. I can be patient, there is no rush.

Lend me your thoughts please.

Yes, there will be next year(no definitive date) new cpus from intel(haswell), i'm sure it will come with better improvements than the ivybridge cpus, but i'm sure also it will have a higher price point.
You could wait and see.

say haswell comes out in 6 months--then do you get one or decide to wait for broadwell? or skylake or skymont?

Would you personally wait for Haswell? If not, which processor would you go for? I want somethink between Medium-High to Extreme.

i would imagine the main improvement with haswell may be the integrated graphics will be much better

cant see the actual cpu being hugely faster than ivybridge

though i could be wrong

cant really go wrong getting an ivybridge in my opinion

i have an overclocked 2600k sandybridge and not even contemplating upgrading that when haswell comes along

what are you going to use it for?

if gaming the 3570k would be my choice
