Hey fellas, I have done alot of research (as much as time will allow) to get myself up to speed as much as I can to build my own. system. I have an older HP media center pc which I have upgraded and replaced parts in over the years. So I kind of know my way around in a general sense concerning the guts of the pc. I am trying to put together a list of parts to build my own so that I can pass my older computer over to my parents. I want to get it dialed in a close as possible and would greatly appreciate any input.

Main purpose/Everyday gaming PC

Case- Corsair 400r

PSU- This is where I'm kind of stuck. I wanted to have the possibility to run Crossfire with my 6870 HD if possible. I looked at a Corsair 750 W and an Antec 620 watt.

CPU-I5-3570K 1155 socket

CPU Cooler- Coolermaster Hyper 212 +

Motherboard-Asrock Extreme 4 Z77

Memory- Corsair 8gb Vengeance low profile

Video Card-HD 6870 (aleady have this)

SSD?- appear expensive and not familiar with all models

Windows 8

Looks like a good build. I would definitely get an SSD for your OS and applications. They are so much faster. 128GB is the minimum I would say and would think about going with 256GB. I suggest a Samsung 840 Pro or Crucial M4. For a psu, go with the Corsair (I usually recommend Seasonic).

Thanks Maestro. I was looking around and found that someone said that this motherboard doesn't have wi-fi. I'm not sure how that applies?

Ok, would buying a modular PSU really matter with this Corsair case since it has a decent storage for cables?

I know what the reviews and such say about SSD's, but I would like some input on what has worked with some and what has not. Thank in advance.
