[SOLVED] New Builder Confusion

I’m just about finished with my first build, but I have some confusion with cabling for my GPU and PSU.

GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Super FTW3 Ultra Gaming

PSU: EVGA GQ 650 watt 80 Plus Gold Semi-Modular

The GPU has two 8-Pin connections
The PSU has two 8 (6+2) PCI-E cables

Do I use both cables, filling up both VGA1 and VGA2 on the PSU?

Do I use one cable? One cable has the two 8 (6+2) PCI-E connections on one end with a solid 8-Pin connection on the other. I know the solid has to connect directly to the PSU. This looks weird to me.

What about cable extensions?

Sorry for such a novice questions.
Thank you for your time!

Solution
The power supply have two vga cables that end to two 8 pin (6+2). You can use only the one cable (VGA1 OR VGA2) of them to plug the two 8pins to your GPU.
