New Builder. Power Supply Help Needed.

Also, if it matters, the CPU, GPU and RAM will be overclocked.

Right now I'm considering an EVGA SuperNOVA 650W 80+ Gold but, if it is possible, I'd rather get a smaller PSU to save a bit of cash. This build is pushing my budget to the absolute limit.

The GTX 780 requires a minimum 600 watts PSU with 42 Amps on the 12 V rail. This does not include overclocking the CPU or the GPU. Generally it is not a good idea to overclock the RAM.

Considering these factors you need a 750 watts or higher PSU of a good brand like Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Antec. - Watch for sales and promos.

HX and AX are decent , but RM series is cheaply built with poor capacitors.
