New built PC will start but not display

This is my first build that i completed after 7 hours.
I made sure i did everything perfectly watching different instructional videos. The computer turns on with lights and all fans including CPU GPU and case are working, but my monitor shows no display. Monitor is fully functional.

I dont know where i went wrong, please check out the pictures to see how my MB looks, maybe you can pot something out.




I firmly pluged in the 8 pin CPU into the ATX12V1
the 24pin into the ATXPWR
all the reset, power, led + - are in correct order, most likely (if they werent, wouldnt my power button and lights not work)
My CPU fan is firmly pluged in and cpu is sitting snug.
I'm preety sure the GPU is sitting tightly, i dont want to push any harder to bend the MB

Also, i tried switching the slots for my 8gb ram, same result.

Please help me because i can't take it anymore, here is my build:

Try plugging the monitor into the video outputs on the motherboard

Have you tried connecting the monitor to the onboard video?

Remove the card see if it works. What slots does it say to put the ram in, in the manual?

There is only one slot that fits the monitor connector, there is also a white longer slot but won't fit. I will try to ue an HD cable to the monitor and gpu once i get one.

I checked the list, and without taking everything apart i didn't make any mentioned mistakes (i think)

Manual is hard to read for me, i thought the two slots farthest away (2 and 4) would be best. Manual says:

Priority.....DDR_A1.....DDR_A2.....DDR_B1.....DDR_B2
1.................................Populated.......................Populated
2..............Populated.......................Populated
3..............Populated...Populated....Populated...Populated

Basically it means it prioritises the A1 then A2 then B1 then B2 slots. Put your ram in the A1 and A2 slots. What cable are you using to connect your monitor?

Oh are you sure i should pt a1 and a2? they will be right next to eachother and i thought that nver happens, the color wouldnt match if i put two cards next to eachother

Looks like you can put 2 sticks in 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. You sure you put the sticks in the right way? Did you hear them click and lock in?

tomorrow i might take the MB out and redo everything...it sucks but im out of options. Maybe i shocked the mb? I often touched metal to rid of static and didnt hear or feel anything. hopefully the processor hairs didnt bend

Oh the ram thing is a table, it makes sense now. Put the ram in A2 and B2. if you are using the h97 pro4 it has a vga socket on the back, its just black not blue (above the white dvi port). Plug your monitor in there

Everything is clicked in and snug. The a2 and b2 slot was what i originally used. Here is a picture, the one above the blue socket is an HDMI

Yeah i know, it's the only one that fits anyway.
The way i see it is i either damaged the mb with static, maybe the processor was damaged (the first time i placed it in with no force but it didnt slide in i had to pick it up again then place it in) maybe my gpu is not mounted properly or maybe i messed somehting up with wiring.

But if you put the cable in VGA, when the card was installed, it should be plugged into the card not the onboard VGA

If the card you installed doesnt have VGA remove it, then it may work when you plug it into the onboard VGA

So if you build in a GPU you can't use the VGA from motherboard but only the GPU's plug in?

Yup, unless the BIOS has a multi monitor option. But you would have to remove the radeon, then plug it into onboard first to do it. For anything to appear on the screen, to get into the BIOS

Most systems when you install a separate videocard it will disable the onboard video

Yes, you have to plug it into the video card you cant use both on the platform you are using. I assumed you had plugged it into the graphics card. The system should have automatically switched to the discrete graphics card as the display output

Well actually she/can use both . There's a IGPU multi-monitor option in the BIOS. But the radeon would have to be removed first to enable it

ok thanks guys ill try it tomorrow and let you know if it worked, I'll grab a connector cable from the store any idea on what they are called, just a GPU hd cable?

Depends what cable theres vga dvi or hdmi

I thought that was only on fm2. Doesnt matter anyway as it would be a waste to use integrated graphics with one monitor. @op dont use vga if your monitor supports something else, it is lower quality

Hey guys you were right, all my pc needed was for the gpu to be plugged into monitor. I didn't realize, but the gpu came with a converter that you stick onto the white field on the gpu then connect your vga. Im surprised none else came across this problem or solution for the lack of display, it seems many would make this mistake on their first build.

Also, along with the gpu came a bridge crossfire connector, the vga converter, hd converter and 2 wires ending with plugs on them. I assue the wires are extras or something?
