Hello,

I just bought a zotac 1060 graphics card. I have it all plugged in and ready to go but I noticed the card has one HDMI port and one DVI-D port to plug my monitor into. Howver, my question for you guys is my current monitor (which is more than 5 years old) is a DVI-I input with a VGA output. My problem is the new graphics card I purchased doesn't have VGA slot, it only came with the DVI-D slot. How can I make my old monitor connect to a DVI-D slot if the only cord I have has a VGA at the end of it? Thanks so much!

Solution
Safest way to do is using "DDU uninstaller" to delete all NVIDIA drivers, exchange the cards and reinstall the latest drivers from NVIDIA.com.

Use a simple HDMI cable to connect from the new card to the monitor. Your Monitor is providing one HDMI input. That´s all you will need. No VGA adapter or similiar needed.

get a DVI-D cable

I don't know about the price but it can solve the problem I think.
