New card

my confg

Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4
QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400, 2666 MHz (8 x 333)
4gb Kingston DDR2-1066 MHz
OCZ power supply 600w
xfx 4870 512mb
win7 64x
monitor 20 inches,1680x1050

I want to buy new card ,I think hd 6850 or 6870, or a new series hd7850, hd7870 think however that it is too strong for my configuration, I ask advice

Your power supply should work for any of those. What's your budget?

you're right. the card is the weakest link. don't worry about whether or not your other hardware isn't "good" enough for a real upgrade. I run a q9550 with a 6950 and things couldn't be better.

from the 6870 on up........ a card with 2gigs of vram will give you great benefit. pick one.

( and before somebody says you only game at 1680x1050 and don't need 2gigs.......... well in yer eye maggots )

budget is no problem ,problem is CPU bottleneck GPU

CPU will be fine in most games. I suggest the 7850 or 7870. Beware of Sapphire though.
