New case and Psu, won't boot, help!

I moved the motherboard and HDD from an old Inspiron desktop into an h440 and now it won't boot. Some help me troubleshoot?

There is an orange light on the motherboard

Hello... try touching the "power switch" pins on the MB with the tip of something small and metal. Locate using a PICture/Diagram.

Used a pair of pliers and touch it, nothing happened.

You did not say what model Inspiron .

Dell do very good documentation for their systems

I know on some Dell models the connections for power, LEDs , front panel audio etc are non standard

Read the FAQ for new builds which won't switch on

Hello... Yes, alot of OEM computer makers have non-standard MB Pin locations.
1) Follow the wires from the Orig Power switch to verify.
2) find a Diagram or Picture of your MB for verifyable pins.
3) Remove install from the case, put on a carboard box, and re-try power Pins.
