New case - Less signal - Would an adapter help?

As the title says, I changed into another case - Zalman Z9 PLUS. But when doing so, My motherboard's network card has a wire antenna and is attached to the front, so I pulled it off and put it in the same place on my new case, bit I am noticing very low signal. Used to be 4-5 bars, now it's only 1-2. For future reference to anybody, it helped it so much. Full signal 80% of the time, 20% 4 bars
