New case or Motherboard

Right now I am running a Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard and 2x sapphire vapor x r9 290-x, diemensions of one card are 12.0" x 4.5". My current case is a NZXT Phantom 630 and I'm wondering as it is tight already with 2 cards if I work my way to having 4 gpu's should just get a different case or I need a new motherboard.

Solution
The problem with more than two cards is that added pcie lanes will usually be X4 which is not good.
The 4th card reduces fps in some cases.
Three cards are best run on lga2100v3 motherboards which can provide added lanes.

Past that, the best amd cpu is not likely to run three strong cards well.
If you think the 630 is tight with 2 cards (Thought it should easily handle 2 and feel roomy), there isn't much out there besides maybe a 900D that will feel more roomy. I don't think you have to change your motherboard seeing that it is already very good

both really wont benefit you in terms of performance, as the MoBo is already top of the line, and the case has nothing to do with performance.
unless you dont already have a FX-9590, then you dont have much to upgrade (except switching to intel, or adding another 290x).

3-way r9 290x is just like any other 3-way GPU config. you will get better performance then 2 cards, but the scaling will be bad. if you want to upgrade your setup, you can upgrade your peripherals - higher resolution monitor, mechanical keyboard, better mouse, better headset ect.
