Hi All.

Long time lurker. I've been reading and watching videos but I'm still a little lost.

I need to rebuild my machine over Christmas, I have been picking up a few parts and need to get my finder out.

I'm looking for a case with 280mm radiator support. Looking for something reasonably quiet but not at a cost of performance.

Currently considerations;

Lian Li Lancool 2 mesh (some say 280mm is a push)
Corsair 4000D
Fractal Pop
Phanteks P500 Air

Anything I've missed? Budget around £100

Thanks,

Cramman

Just limits your case options, btw you should click reply or people won’t get notified.
What's your motherboard form factor and GPU size?

Sorry about not quoting, done.

Currently running an MSI X370 gaming plus ATX (I assume) MB and a 1080ti. I'll probably upgrade the MB, CPU and GPU at some point but currently for work and play it works fine.

I'm looking for a case that will last and allow for upgrades, not bothered about rgb or anything.

Just for the future because if you don’t people don’t know and won’t get back to you.

Just because there’s no point saying get a Matx case when you have an ATX board

Maybe look at the Pure Base 500DX which is around 100:

Quiet, cool and has nice features like lots of drive space, front panel I/O with a USBC port with USB 3.2 Gen 2 support. Plus RGB if you like that stuff.

The new lianli 216 that just came out is very cheap but large case with good cooling. It can take 280 and 360 radiators in the top which is hard to get in a cheap case.

Yeah, I spotted that earlier, not available until January, but I can wait if needs be.

I can up the budget for £100 though, that was just a number I picked more than anything firm.

We put a arctic freezer 360 in the top and it still cleared the motherboard. The arctic freezer has a thicker radiator than most other coolers so it is very hard to top mount them unless the case is very wide.

For a $100 case it is pretty nice.

Only need 1 more part for the 3rd machine and my christmas computer building adventure will be over. I may consider this case when I build a machine for myself in january when we see where the new amd 3xd cpus place.
