New system in general or get newer components whenever i need them?
Currently this is my system:
CPU: Intel Core I7-4790K
GPU: Zotac GTX 980 AMP! Edition
PSU: Corsair PS800 bronze edition
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB
SSD Samsung pro EVO 850 250GB
MOBO: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
I am looking for a new system that will completely overkill most things and i have been looking on Overclockers and have configured something along the lines of what i would like. The computer i currently have is good don't get me wrong but i would like an upgrade, but then a friend also said why not just get an SLI GTX 1080 instead which would be a lot cheaper and overkill any game. This is a great idea however my computer components are around 3 years old now and i don't know the lifespan of most components.
Any help would be appreciated on whether i should i just upgrade to SLI or get an entirely new computer to overkill any game, Thanks.
