New Comp Stopped working.

Hi, i've built a new computer 3 days ago and it was fully functional with no issues at all. Today while i was playing games on it, it suddenly shut off and won't turn on.
When i press the power switch nothing happens. I opened it up to check if anything was missing but all the plugs are plugged into where they should be. What could be the problem? and are there any steps i should go though to find out whats the problem?

Hi,

First unplugged the power and let it be for a while (10 min).

Before replugging, press power button for a while(few seconds) then try to power on again.

If nothing, contact the company for RMA since it's a new PC

it is a self built pc

the fan turns on for less than a second, barely even 1 spin. The only light thats on is the light on the graphics card. the LED lights doesn't turn on either.

either your psu is malfunctioning....or you have a dead mobo.

try a different psu to be sure which one is it and get an rma

I've actually done a PSU test when plugged into an outlet, The fan is spinning and working fine.

than it must be your mobo....get an rma.

although you can test that too....simply remove the ram modules and switch on the pc. if you do not hear ram beep, your mobo is dead for sure

i was praying its not the mobo. should i test anything else?

nothing else to test....in this situation and with these symptoms its only the mobo that can be suspected

well I've finally got my a new mobo from newegg, plugged everything in. same thing nothings running.

did you try without the gpu...i.e. with the integrated graphics

okay so i tried it without the graphics card and the PC started up. Why? and how can i use my graphics card?

now that you can start your pc...just update the bios of the mobo.

put the gpu back and start the pc normally.

well i updated the bios to the latest version. but on start up i'm getting the "Windows failed to start." error and Startup Repair keeps failing

actually nevermind the windows fail to start thing, i figured that out. i just placed the graphics card back after updating the motherboard it still wont start

im getting increasingly confused as i try to get this computer to work.
I was able to get the computer to start up once i remove the GPU, next i updated the bios to the latest version (v4.5). I installed the graphics card and it doesn't start again. finally i removed the graphics card and the computer starts with no display.

it turns on and runs, the fans working but theres no visual on the monitor
