Thought the name would be catchy. Anyway, to make a long story short, I built a new computer recently. It's decked out, but there are more powerful one's than my own. I do not see hardware limitations being an issue.

The computer was running smoothly when all of the sudden, I get all these different driver errors when trying to boot. It says a file (usually ending with .sys) is missing. I apologize I am at work and do not have access to the machine at the moment. Just wanted to get the ball rolling. It seems after each unsuccessful boot it changes what file it is. Also, when I happened to boot into windows, it tells me that no ethernet cable is plugged in which is not true. Already tried reinstalling the LAN driver, nothing happened. One of the error messages I get is when it doesn't show a .sys file, but it's blank and only shows 0xc0000001. I think I may just have to reinstall everything. Still, what's to stop it from becoming corrupted again?

I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed. Had it in my previous computers. Works good, not a resource hog, informs me of any viruses. I've done a scan a few days ago. Since then, I haven't downloaded anything, especially from an untrusted website.

Last thing I did was play a few different games on Steam and Origin.

Also, if S.M.A.R.T. shows a bad status, does that mean a drive is dead or can it be fixed by reinstalling the OS? It said one of my drives is bad, I forgot to mention that. It doesn't always say that and sometimes boots me into the system. The Windows Repair didn't seem to do a good job. I currently have 3 x 120gb Corsair Neutron GTX's in Raid0.

I remembered NTFS.sys was one of the errors. NTFS is the file format, so I'm thinking this install is screwed.

All,

I would like to apologize for not having all the info for you right off the bat. I felt regret after my first post. Anyway, new developments have occurred. I got Newegg to let me RMA and return for store credit. Apparently, this never happens with hard drives. Or at leas that particular model was not eligible. This is eggxcellent news wouldn't you agree?

Ok, here's the deal. Got home from work and re-ordered the Sata cables. There are 2 out of 8 ports which are different than the rest some how. All have hotswap capabilities according to the BIOS, which is done through there to enable or disable it. After I moved the cables to different ports I was able to boot into Windows on first try. Rebooted a few times, no S.M.A.R.T. error or Windows missing file errors. So I opened the Intel Rapid Storage Technology app inside Windows that runs in my Notification Center and saw one of the drives all reading at 6gbps. Previously, one of them only read at 3gbps. These drives are all Sata 3 (6gbps). Now I'm at a cross roads.

I have about 7 days to return within the RMA time frame they gave me. I'm gonna game a little, mess about within Windows see if I get any crashes. Everytime I reboot it's solid. I have all Sata 3 compatible cables so I'm not sure why it was reading at 3gbps versus 6gbps earlier. Bad port perhaps? Should have posted my specs earlier. See below please.
