I have a corsair cx600 power supply laying around, and I want to save it up for my next build, can you guys maybe link me some items to base around the power supply. Motherboard, cpu (preferably intel core i5)? I already have a computer, but the parts are pretty old, will I need to get a new hard drive as well? Is it possible for me to just put the Hard Drive into the newly built computer and not have to get windows 7?

Solution
1. You can build a million combinations of build base on a PSU with wattage higher than 550W.
2. HDD are reusable, but they will fail eventually, I suggest you back up the stuff on that HDD and get a new one, then run both drives in a new system with the older HDD for storage that is constantly back up.
3. If you have a pre-built system, then the OS is tied to its motherboard, if you have purchased Windows with a CD and product key, then you should be able to reuse that, but only for that version of Windows.

Like IDontUnderstand said, you can build any number of PC combinations based around a single component. If you tell us what you want to do with your PC then we can suggest specific parts for you.
