Hi I am planning on getting a new pc and I am going to build it myself. My computer will need to be good for a few years minimum and preferably be able to run minecraft and other small games. Is this a good build for around 400 pounds?

It's a decent build, but for your budget I'd go for this:

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo isn't necessary, the stock heatsink + fan provided by Intel is adequate especially as you're not planning to overclock. My build above includes a better PSU, CPU and GPU. You should be able to go far with the build above, but if you don't mind having used parts, you can always look on eBay for cheaper components. I purchased my E3-1230v2 processor for £80 from eBay in new condition, and it's performance is similar to an i7-3770. I also purchased a used GTX 570 for £55 from eBay too (I cleaned out the GPU thoroughly right down to the core and reapplied thermal paste, so it's in a new condition now).

For the record the GT 640 is a weak GPU (yes my GTX 570 is significantly better than it). To phrase it for those who are new to GPUs, focus more on the second digit and not the first: for example, GTX 570 is better than a GT 640 (the first figure is almost irrelevant).

You can go for the build above I suggested, which is better than your initial build, or you can build the above and purchase cheaper components such as CPU and GPU from eBay; which in my opinion I prefer.

By the way, I like the case you've chosen. :)

All the best. :)

This is a really good pc for the price!

Solution
Thanks for the info on the graphic card numbering and your help on the builds.

I was planning to overclock the pentium G3258 to around 4.2 ghz with the cooler master 212 Evo.
Going forward would the i3-4130 perform better than the overclocked pentium as a result of the hyperthreading?

If you can stretch your budget a bit this one would be even better and run all the latest games on high-ultra settings:
