I am wanting to either replace my mother board and tower or, if possible, replace the motherboard only. I need some input if I could.

I have the following:
Hp p6823w Link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02863024&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N103

Radeon R7770 1GB graphics card.
Added 4 more gig of memory. 8 gig total.
I already replaced the Power Supply to a 600w.

I would like to have a better mother board for gaming. If I am correct, to use the tower I have, it must be a uatx (Micro atx motherboard)

I found this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131805&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Intel+Motherboards-_-N82E16813131805&gclid=CNyE-Li0kcICFeXm7AodBy0AsQ

Would this work in my tower and would I have to buy any additional pieces such as a processor to add to that motherboard?

Thanks for any help.

I installed a Thermaltake TR2 600w. here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-TR-600-ATX12V-EPS12V-Computer/dp/B007W7ZWHK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416785232&sr=8-3&keywords=thermaltake+tr2+600+watt.

What would you recommend?

That's a tier 5 psu. in other words, it's terrible.

Building from scratch sounds like, and is usually, the only option. You can build a cheap one for around $500 and be able to play all games at certain settings.

Thanks for the info on the psu. Any good suggestions on the mother board. I can replace the power supply unit. all i want to replace, other than the psu, is the motherboard and processor.

You will need case, new motherboard, cpu, and probably windows as well. For your GPU, this would pair up nicely.

Those all look like great choices. Thank you. What would be the next upgrade choices. Lets say I want to spend 500.00 or less. Maybe the next step up from what you suggested. maybe i5 atleast and better mother board?

Another great choice. Thanks alot. will be ordering. One quick question. I have a radeon r7770 1gig. with that motherboard, could I just buy another radeon r7770 and crossfire it and get great graphics?

Parts are ordered. Thanks for the information. I only changed one thing, the tower. I went with this one: RaidMax Viper GX ATX-512WBG.

I will post when I get it built and let you know how it runs. Thanks again.
