This is my first ever build and I would like opinions on if my choices are good or not :)

CPU: i5 4690k
CPU cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo
MoBo: msi gaming 5
memory: hyperx fury 16gb
GPU: gtx 970 strix
PSU: corsair rm 750w
case: corsair 450d mid tower

Any advice would be a huge help

And if anyone owns/owned or knows about the asus vx238h (monitor) and the cooler master quick fire tk keyboard could tell me if these are good choices too. Thanks

Not bad. My thoughts are below.

MB - Changed to a Gigabyte board with the same features, but a bit cheaper.
MEM - Just make sure they are DDR3-1600 CL9 or lower, or DDR3-1866 CL10 or lower. ...both at 1.5v. Consider 8GB for now with the option to add more later. 16GB is a lot of memory for gaming.
CASE - The 300r is a solid case for much less cost.
PSU - The RM750 is a nice unit, but a bit pricey. Look toward XFX or Seasonic.

Enjoy that build!
