MBoard - ROG Strix B850-E
CPU - Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU - RX 9070 Sapphire Pure
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6000MT CL28
PSU - Straight Power 12 800W
Case - Antec Flux
Radiator - Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360
Storage: Samsung SSD 990 PRO 2TB M.2

Booted up pc first time, all worked okay. Note it's a new pc with no os installed, i just finished building.
I got a few questions, first off after first boot a message was shown on screen:
"AMI BIOS wew cpu installed, enter setup for configuration.
cpu fan speed detection error, press F1 to enter setup."

I asume the fan speed cannot be detected because i connected the AIO radiator with a single controller header cable to the AIO pump slot on the mainboard, is this fine or do i have to do something?
In the bios i found a setting called "asmedia storage controller" what is this? can it be disabled safely? It seems to be a sata controller but is it really needed?

Also i did connect the fan controller header from the pc case to the cha_fan5 slot of the motherboard, does it matter in which cha_fan slot i plug the header, should i mount it to another instead?
Anyway now i have a more or less serious problem, i enabled EXPO in bios, rebooted, the pc appears to be stuck with code 99 for several minutes.

I did a reboot, which did not help. If the pc can't get itself running probably i must reset bios, clear cmos, and manually select voltage timing for expo profile?
The motherboard supports expo, the ram supports it, why doesn't it work? What do i have to do?

Got a link to the ram kit used? Rams populating slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard?

Yes. Clear the CMOS and that should reset the values to factory defaults. Also while you're in BIOS, can you see what BIOS version you're on at this moment of time?

Yes A2 and B2 are used.
Does clearing cmos wipe all bios user profiles? Guess im going to find out soon.
Yes i can update this thread with the installed bios version but updating to beta isn't something that i would do.

Connect pump to AIO_pump header.
Connect fans from radiator to CPU_fan and CPU_opt headers.

Asmedia sata controller provides onboard sata ports.
If you disable this, then you will not be able to use any sata 2.5" / 3.5" drives.

Two cables shipped with the radiator, the one with a single header and the one with multiple.
I didnt know where to plug the multiple ones so i went with the single header.
Is this a problem? Is the problem that was shown on screen an actual problem?

Your CPU is rated for 5600 max for dual ram.
If XMP is trying to do the ram rated 6000 it might be too much for the CPU.
See if the bios has a lower XMP setting and select 5600 or even lower, it might only do 5600 with manual tuning.
Yeah i saw that a few minutes ago on the webpage for the 9800X3D its ratred for 5600 DDR5...
In bios i can see the current speed is 6000.
Where do i lower it to 5600 and if i do that, do i also have to edit other values?

What should i do about the ram, if all goes wrong i need a replacement right.
But atleast not be a fool and give it a try. But how? I have no experience with manual ram overclocking / undervolting whatever.

This is how the cable looks like, are you saying vrm goes into cpu_opt?

Also it is impossible to pull out the all in one cable and mount this one instead, can't get there anymore, need to remove the gpu and try my luck but it very much looks like i would have to unmount the radiator-pump from the board which was an absolute pain in the a$$ to get there.
screw me..

I think this person here said the AIO connectors is alright?

For the CPU fan, you should have a cable that goes to the CPU fan header, otherwise the motherboard doesn't know there is CPU cooler and prompt this message. AIO coolers always have this cable and according to your pictures yours have it too.

About the RAM, looks like you've got an XMP Corsair kit and this is likely not going to work out of the box with your AMD motherboard/CPU. After you enable EXPO, look at the RAM voltage. If it's 1.35V that's not good. You need to change it to 1.4V. Also CL28 at 6000 MT/s looks pretty tight to me for the 9800X3D. You might have to change that for CL30 (30-36-36-72). You also have to wait for a while when you modify the RAM configuration, time for the board to train itself with the new settings (might take several minutes, be patient).

There are two cables shipped with the liquid freezer III, which one are you reffering to?
Remember i'm currently using the single header one.

Are you saying i should unplug the AIO pump header from the cpu_pump slot and instead connect it to cpu_fan slot? pump to pump sounded so logical.. man this whole thing drives me nuts, but i appreicate you taking time to reply here.. really do

The store where i bought this ram kit says it supports amd expo

CMK32GX5M2B6000Z28 is the correct product ID

Sorry for the confusion, i will update my OG reply with the correct article.
That would be this one which does support AMD EXPO.

How do you get these values you suggested?
1.35V to 1.4V. dram voltage and CL30 (30-36-36-72)
If i select CL30 (where do i do that what option is this in bios) will the later numbers automatically change or do i have to configure these aswell? Is there no list from corsair for all the timings that can be set?

The numbers I gave you are some generic timing values for CL30 RAM kits. 1.4V is the usual voltage for Corsair EXPO RAM kits. They can vary according to the brand and models. If you have a CL30 profile available, then enabling it will set all the numbers automatically. If you don't have the profile available, you will have to set the numbers manually. To do that, go in the BIOS advanced mode and you should have an "advanced timing" menu on the AI Tweaker page (you have an Asus board so it should be there). On this timing page, you should have a first block of 4 numbers (the first one should be 28 if you enabled expo). Change those four numbers for the ones I gave you (from top to bottom).

If your computer works fine with default values and doesn't boot with EXPO enabled, it's because your mobo/CPU don't support the EXPO configuration of you RAM kit and you have to either tweak it or get a different kit.

According to the manual of your cooler, you can use either the all-in-one cable that only goes to the CPU fan header, or the one with the three connectors (which allows you to control the three separately) and if you use this one, all the three connectors must plugged in. On some boards connecting the pump header is not recognized as a CPU cooler, it wants to have something connected to the CPU fan header. Maybe that's your problem, so yes you can try to connect it to the CPU fan header instead of the pump header and make sure the CPU fan speed is set to maximum in the BIOS so the pump runs at full speed. Or plug the "fan" connector to the CPU fan header. Or replace the 3 connector cable with the single-connector one (and plug it to the CPU fan header).
