Here are my questions:

What GPU should I get? I was looking at the 6850 and the 7770, but i'm sure there might be some better 'bang for you buck'. I don't want to skimp too much on performance but I would like to stay around the price range of the 6850 or the 7770 ( even better if it was less).

Is that a sufficient amount of power? Do I need a different PSU?

The motherboard- could I trim a some money off of that component? Any suggestions?

and lastly, please make any and all suggestions. If you see any problems with compatibility or anything else, please tell me.

Can you specify what your current build is?

From looking at the components you've selected, you seem to be on a pretty tight budget. In my opinion this wouldn't be a huge upgrade to most systems; and you might be better off waiting for more funds and a better system later.

I forgot to mention- right now my current PC is my laptop.

Right now i'm running on an integrated video card inside this ASUS X54-C Laptop.
