new computer not working

I built a new computer and when I go to turn it on all the light and fans turn on but nothing shows up on the monitor and my keyboard lights up for a second then turns of again. There's a small light on my motherboard that's supposed to indicate that the cpu is not detected or failed but I don't know if that's a faulty cpu socket or if the cpu it self is faulty or something else entirely

specs:
Amd Ryzen5 1600
Msi b350 gaming pro
evga 750w gold rated psu
corsair 8 gb 2133 ddr4 ram
msi gaming x rx480

I hope that you have a GPU, because you didn't list one. The Ryzen5 1600 doesn't have internal graphics. Eventhough the mobo has video out ports, your CPU doesn't drive them. The video ports on the board are for future CPUs.

I forgot to add that yes I do have a graphics card
