new computer put together with all new parts lags on things that should not lag on

i have a i5 6600 k and a 1060 6 gb oc 16 gb of ram. i like to use my computer to play games but i cant do any thing on my computer it lags on every thing that i try to run on it and i have the required parts in it for it to run what i want. by the way all the parts are new yet it lags wanted to no if you could help me or tell me what to do if you need more information i can get it thank you .

Have you checked your CPU temp? List all of your specs. Did you install all chipset drivers?

i have had ssd and hard drive wiped on both to see if that was it it was not

and when i say lag i mean i acts like it cant handle any game at all it just cant get the frames on stuff i should be able too
