So My computer Will randomally hardlock / freeze up and i have to hard reboot my pc to have it come back up. In the event viewer nothing shows up other than a crit error saying my pc has rebooted. I have tried replacing parts / switching parts out with another computer that has similar parts. Still the same thing. Have replaced the motherboard completely. I have also reinstalled windows, reinstalled drivers, uninstalled drivers. All the normal stuff u would do to fix it / have looked up tons of forums post and tried those fixes and nothing. These freezes will happen once, then an hour later it will happen again and have only happened while playing games. Yes my temps are fine i have checked them plenty of times, 60 C on gpu , 40 c on cpu while under load.
Any help would be great because i have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it because it seems i have done everything.

Setup is
6700k
asus z170 pro gaming mobo
corsair lpx 16 gbs ddr4
1070 evga sc
750 supernova evga power supply
Main monitor is 144 hz asus, Second monitor is a 60 hrz dell
Microphone blue yeti
Zowie fk1 mouse
Corsair strafe brown switches keyboard.

What different parts have you tried? Since it only happens during load, it can be almost anything. My first guess was a bad PSU quality, but yours is far from it, although bad units happen from time to time and you might just be so unlucky to get it, this can also apply to other components. How many and what storage devices have you got? Since the PC doesn't reboot itself, rather it freezes, my most likely guess would be them. Have you also done any overclocking?

I have an 850 pro ssd 512 gbs. I have also switched power supplys over did the same thing, I have switched ram sticks, i have switched video card Same thing. And no overclocking.

I would try a different storage device if you have any, would be the quickest and cheapest method of eliminating that possibility. If the storage device is also fine, then you tried most of the computer, and the only thing left would be the CPU or the GPU. To test both of these you can try the on-board graphics by taking out the GPU and playing some minor game or run a CPU stress test, if the PC doesn't freeze then it's your GPU that was causing it, if it does freeze then it's your CPU.

I have an 840 evo as my backup i can try. The weirdest thing about these freezes is. i can go an entire month without them happening, then randomally. Bloop ur comp is f roze, then an hour later it does it again, then bam. Im gucci for another month. Also the video card is brand spanking new literally. less than a month old. Did same thing with a 670 gtx in the comp.

I switched over to my other hard drive and it just froze again. So i have no idea what would be causing this. Only thing i can think of is to get like another ram and power supply to test those products.
