New Computer.

I'm thinking about buying this guys computer here are the stats and he's asking 1500$ USD plus the cost of shipping is it a good deal? If so how good?

Here are the stats:
Case: Lian-Li PC-60 with covers for all of the drives

Watercooling: Koolance EXOS-AL (with 300-H06 CPU waterblock and GPU-180-L06 graphics card waterblock)

Motherboard: ASUS P4C800 Deluxe

CPU: P4 Northwood 3.0 GHz (been running at 3.9 GHz since I put it in, never crashed once)

RAM: Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPRO 2 sticks of 512 for dual channel action (truly bad ass ram, runs at 2-2-2-5 timings by default)

Graphics Card: PNY Geforce 6800 GT (flashed it's bios to the PNY 6800 Ultra, runs at it's speeds and voltage without flaw)

Optical Drives: 48x24x48 CD Burner and 8x DVD+-RW drive

Hard Drive and controller card: Seagate Cheetah X15 36LP

Sound: SB Audigy

How old is the system? You said that it would have to be shipped, so I assume that you wont be able to test the system before you buy it?

I've dropped roughly <font color=green>$2200</font color=green> usd on my system, but i'm sure some of my components are a little bit higher in price.(IE - processor, HDD. etc....) That includes the cost of all the modding supplies as well though and mine isn't watercooled so you could probably use that to compare a bit. Of course mine is an AMD system and I'm also using some of my exsisting EQ. such as my TDK 8x dvd burner, but some of the components are comparable.....

Sounds like an alright price to me if everything works like he claims.

That is very close to what it would cost to build it new. Of course, you have to figure time and effort too. He might have a MO stepping CPU in there which is great. However, at this stage of the game do you want to pound this much dough into this platform? It would be a great machine for the time being but not very far into the future.
