Ok, so I've decided to start a new build and have all of my parts either here already or on the way. I plan to do lots of pictures and to post videos on youtube as well. First things first, here's a list of my parts:

Motherboard - Asus P67 Sabertooth B3

This mobo has all the features I'm interested in and wraps it all up in a package that is aesthetically pleasing to me. It has two PCI-E slots for SLI and the awesome UEFI bios. I have also installed the 50mm assistant fan to help with cooling.

CPU - Intel Core i7 2600k

Simply the best processor on the market for the money these days. Able to hang with a 980X but costing 3x less. I probably won't need the extra threads over the 2500k but I really just want the i7! Lol.

CPU Cooling - Corsair H60

I currently have a Hyper 212+ and it performs well enough but I need a little more cooling to get to 4.8GHz so I'm giving the H60 a try. I have two Gelid PWM fans that I intend to use in p/p. I would have gone with a larger air-cooler but my RAM will not fit under most of the good ones so we will see how the Corsair performs.

Case - Corsair 600t SE (White)

The impetus of this build to be honest. I currently have a CM690II Advanced and it is a fantastic case but I fell in love with this Corsair the moment I saw it and had to have it. I intend to do some light mods to it and will have a certain color-scheme on the inside when finished. I can't wait to get started!

Memory - Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 8-8-8-24

This RAM is perfect for SB. Its 1.5v and has relatively tight timings plus it really will fit the look I'm going for with the Sabertooth mobo. I will be running at 1600MHz.

Power Supply - Corsair AX850

This fully modular PSU is all over the place these days. If you have a new SLI or CF setup chances are you have this PSU (or so it seems)! The thing looks great and performs even better (JG recommended). Plus, what other PSU could I really go with for my Corsair build (my current HX750 would have worked but I am selling it with my old case as a combo)?

Video Card - (2)MSI GTX 580 Lightning SLI

The crown jewels of my new build. Way overkill for my current monitor I know but I intend to try an Nvidia surround setup later and these babies will suit my benchmarking needs in the meantime. I love everything about these cards from their look to their OC potential. I was tempted to get the Extreme Edition but the money was just too far out there.

SSD - Intel 320 160GB

I had to go Intel with the SSD. I want reliability over pure speed and the 320 series will be plenty fast enough IMO. Also wanted at least 150GB for my OS and all programs and games so this ended up being a good deal for me.

HDD - Hitachi Deskstar 1TB 7200rpm

I'm using my current data drive in my new build. It has performed flawlessly for me so far and there's no reason to change it.

Optical Drive - Samsung Blu Ray Drive

I watch Blu Rays on my computer so this was an easy choice.

I am still waiting on the second GTX 580 Lightning but it looks like I'll have everything by this Friday. Now for some pics!

Well, Newegg let me down and my second Lightning won't be in until Monday :( Its ok though, I got my work area all ready and can't wait to do some unboxing! I also replaced the pics with better ones (though still very crappy by pro standards). Enjoy!

The 560Ti is an amazing card. I have two of those currently but just wanted the best I could manage to afford so I went with two 580 Lightnings! :D I'll be selling the 560's so I hope to recoup some of that money....

I hear that! I was considering 570's or 580's but when I saw my build creep over 1500 I was like oh sh** I gotta draw it back a bit. Haha.

Update: I recently lost my ssd due to the 8mb bug that has afflicted the Intel 320 series. Intel was quick with the RMA and I'm back up and running with a brand new one. Just as a warning, if you have an intel 320 ssd do not do a hard shut down during boot. That's how mine failed...

Very sick setup, how did you get the white pci-e cords :O

<- Jelly

I really like the all white fan + led and everything else black theme, makes it very illuminating. The twin frozr design goes very well with the color scheme :3

I have been considering white theme for my next case. I am using the msi 6950 tf3 2GB in an antec 900 v1 atm, I plan on upgrading my mobo+cpu I bought back in 09 to the new bulldozer cpu + a nice mobo that will go with my next theme :3

Gonna have to figure out what colors mix well. Nice cable management btw, I am very jelly of the dual 580's XD

What do your temps look like?

Thanks so much for your comments! Now to answer your questions:

First, the white sleeved PCI-E cables came from FrozenCPU.com. They are ModRight extensions that plug into your PSU cables (I'm too lazy for actual sleeving).

Second, temps with my current setup are pretty good. I get about 75C on my CPU running Prime95 at 4.7GHz and my 580's top out at 83C under heavy load.

I updated my build....not as sharp as Majin's with all his custom cabling however. I am amazed at the airflow and cooling of the 600T. I have added a xigmatek 5/12 bay with hd slots and front mounted fan so that I could move out my hd trays from the bottom for more air flow space.... 2600k at 4.5 1.310 vcore idles at 33-35 load in prime never over 65, intel burn test gets it close to 70 sometimes, but only on hot days. This was all in an ambient 26c environment.

edit: My H60 has 2 2200 rpm yate loons on it now as well although honestly the temperatures aren't much better than the stock corsair fan unless I turn them way up and it gets too loud at that point.

Hi Azn,

I have had them both up to 950 mhz before and they still ran cool enough, but for normal use I typically just leave them at the factory OC of 850mhz. I have read thay they can get up to 1000 mhz but I see no reason for it as I can max out most games with playable frame rates with them as is.

Hey Eric,

Got 4 of these on the way for my case, so attractive and actually pretty decent performers by a few reviewers.

120mm. - click me

2 will be on my h60, 2 will be on my top exhaust. I also bought the nxzt sleeved cables for my pci/sata and 24pin (was goin to get the 8pin but it's completely hidden behind my top fans and my h60 setup.

Also swapped my front 200mm for this guy. However it isn't a true 200mm fan, I had to use wire ties and the front grommets to attach it to the front bezel. It was pretty easy and it doesn't look bad. I will take pictures later. It won't work on your case though, will only fit if the hard drive cages aren't there. I have my hd's in my 5 1/2 bays using a fan adapter from xigmatek so I have nothing in the bottom front of my case.

This will leave me with no case lighting, probably going to buy those nzxt led sleeves to put some subtle lighting around the inside of my case that can be turned off.

Nice, I was thinking of taking a hyper 212 and putting nicer non cm brand fans on it

what do you guys think? Would that increase my push+pull compared to two junky cm black fans?

Inb4100xjellyofyourbuilds

I am not sure what the default fan's for the 212 are rated at, however normally you can always improve. Actually just read a review and apparently the fans are pretty good going by the reviews. I am sure yate loons or scythe gentle typhoons will be better performance wise but not sure if it will be a huge improvement.

The fan CM provides with the Hyper 212 is the Blade Master and it is one of the best cooling fans you can get, if a little loud. Two in P/P are perfect for a Hyper 212 (I bought a second Blademaster to go with my 212 and it works great)...
