$200 is a bit high for a 850W PSU, but apparently this is a first class unit. Perhaps more competition for the Antec Signature 850W than the 850TX. I'm sure we'll see the other major PSU reviewers chime in over the next few weeks.

IMO if I have to pay $200 for a nice quality unit that won't explode in my system, I'll get it. But I'll probably never have use for a 850W PSU :lol:

200 is a bit much for that i can get a power supply with more amps on the single 12v and a high peak load of 1000w with the same silver rating for efficiency the pc power and cooling silencer 910. And it's cheaper then 200... I guess the extra 10-20 is the modular cabling.

Hmm...The corsair 1000HX with rebates comes to $210...So $200 and with no rebates, doesn't sound so good...I think one of its main competitor would be the 1000HX

This is kinda interresting to see crosair try putting out a psu on the same pair as Antec's signature series. The price is a bit steep but its important to remember that these types of psu's are the cream of the crop.

The only thin I noticed was the amperage on the 12volt rails for the crosair arn't as high as the sign. Interrested to see crosair step in the ring with antec however. After reading the review and doing a little reasearch on my own, i'm still not going to tip my hat to it when compaired to the Antec 850 sign, at least not yet.

The amperage on the 12V is fine - 70A continuous rating means 840 watts on the 12V alone. If you need more than that, then an 850 isn't enough for you anyways. Looks like a nice PSU though. I think its main problem, as mentioned above, is that the HX1000 isn't much more expensive, and in most cases, if you need that quality of PSU, you might as well just get the HX1000 anyways.

On NCIX.com ( a computer store near me which i shop a lot at ) the corsair is pretty much 300$, so 200$ for an 850w sounds good to me, Canadian btw.

i might be getting a 850w soon just cuz it looks awesome and its modular. kinda a waste of money but i will be selling my old parts so ah well!
