New Corsair vs650 not even starting! Help please..

So I ordered this on flipkart and after replacing my old psu with this one it doesn't start, I asked my brother he said the problem is in the main power supply cable or the psu.

Corsair had provided me the main cable with the box(13A) but I am using my previous one(16A) as their rectangular pin doesn't fit my circular socket.

I would really appreciate some help asap as I am buying a new graphics card today.

If the connector on the PSU does not match your motherboard, the PSU might not use the correct standard for your motherboard.

Sorry for not updating this thread, its working now, took it to a shop he plugged in all the same wires as mine but this time it worked.
