Hi! I bought myself a new CPU with a fan and more memory for my PC, I installed it how you should and turned the PC on. Every light and fan turned on normally, but when I tried connecting to the screen, mouse and keyboard it wouldnt work. Tried switching back to the old CPU and memory but the same problem came up.

There is an LED light that is yellow next to the memory slots, but I tried using a memory that I know is compatible with the CPU and motherboard.

I'm not sure what has happened here, and I'm desperatly worried it isnt because the CPU port is broken. Any advice is helpfull here.

Maybe the cpu is not compatible the MB, or the MB ( intel) or CPU (AMD) has the bent pin(s), because you didn't post what you get.

I bought an 3rd gen AMD processor and HyperX Fury memory chips. I made sure they were compatible when I bought them. I had a 2nd gen AMD processor and the same type of memory chips.

I managed to solve this with the help of some fellow IT friends of mine.
In my post I wrote that it didnt work with the old CPU and memory chips, but after leaving it be for a night and testing it again it magically worked again. I have no idea why. So then I tested with...

So then I tested with the new chips and the old CPU and that worked too. Then while I could use my screen, keyboard and mouse I updated BIOS in hope that that was the issue this whole time. I did, and put in the new CPU, now it works just great. I don't know why it wouldn't work at first with the old CPU and memory chips, but I'm just happy it works now.

That is the compatible problem, the MB needs the new BIOS to support the new hardware ( your 3rd gen cpu, except you have the 500 series AM4 motherboard).
Here is the info from AMD:
