New cpu and mobo but no display

Just installed new cpu and motherboard and it turns on just can't get any display or beeps? I've tried just using one ram stick but no help and tried with no gpu.

got diagnostic leds or debug code on your motherboard?

Is your CPU power cable plugged in? Are there any red LEDs on the motherboard?

What is the component list?
What video cable and monitor are you using?

Motherboard is Asus x370 pro
Cpu ryzen 1800x

I don't see any lights on the mobo apart from the rgb lighting

Unless you installed a case speaker their will be no beeps. You can try reinstalling the processor. Make sure the motherboard isn't shorting to the case. Try the motherboard video outputs with the graphics card removed.

There is no onboard graphics on your CPU, so no point removing the GPU.

Which RAM ?

Then if the speaker is working , you should be hearing at least some beeps. The motherboard may be defective. I would try bread-boarding the motherboard.

Im pretty sure ASUS boards allow for blind flashing of the bios, check the motherboard manual about this.

Never tried it myself, if it was me, i'd return the board, explain the situation and get a different one.

Yeah I emailed Asus saying what happened this board was the cheaper one gonna have to spend more now
