Hey all, weeks ago i decided to order new PC components (MOBO, CPU, MEMORY) because my motherboard broke and it was not getting any display on my monitor also it was a 4 year old PC. And yesterday it got assembled and everything went perfectly fine, so i boot it up and i notice that the boot up takes minutes. I don't know if that is normal on windows 10 but i think my old PC is faster to boot than this (less than a minute). I usually get stuck on the windows 10 starting logo.

Specs:
CPU : Intel i7-8700k (3.70GHz) with Seidon 240p *(CPU Cooler)
GPU : GTX 1050 2GB (Dual Fan)
PSU : i-tec 700w
Memory - HyperX Fury 8gb @ 2400mhz
Mobo - MSI Z370 Gaming M5
HDD - 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003

Almost everything in my build is brand new except for the HDD which is 4 years of age and i think it makes my boot up very slow.. Should i change to SSD? Any thoughts?

Thank you! :wahoo:

First off a hard drive is always going to be slow compared to an SSD, its a huge noticeable difference. In your case you NEED to reinstall Windows 10 if you didn't on the new build, that will affect startup time greatly.

As an aside that PSU you have is garbage, you have nice new equipment, you need to buy a nice new 550w PSU from a reputable brand.
