- I want to upgrade this computer so my cpu will not bottleneck my gpu ( i know how to overclock was just wondering what is the best up-gradable components for under $500)
$370
GTX 1060 6GB
i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 1300
$430
GTX 1060 6GB
i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600
I have seen these combos (which one would be better i want the best performance for my gpu) and also cheapest motherboard and ram i could get (because i think i need to switch ram for
these processors as ddr3 dont work if i am mistaken)
Would ryzen 5 1600 be good for gaming at high framerates (much better than my current cpu and gpu which i know is bottlenecked?) and also if it could be possible i am looking for a <$300 budget if amd is not a bad choice here
ALSO- I if this would help can someone copy this build out on pcpartpicker and remove cpu, motherboard, and ram and replace it with whatever you think it is best

Solution
Is the 1060 in the budget or do you already have that?

I have added a better PSU with both builds to allow for future upgrades. Also the ryzen build is slightly more expensive as it has an X470 mobo. You can step this down to a B450 to save costs.

also i am planning on getting this ram Team - Vulcan 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
$99.99 FREE $99.99 Newegg if there is cheaper or better (not expensive but performancewise better ram) ram for my build that would be amazing. and is there any good motherboard where i can overclock eventually and not have compatability issues with hyper 212 evo (not a big problem i can order another mount, but yea) i am not trying to go for expensive motherboards if that is possible it would be amazing, Thanks!

Let’s keep the new budget at $200 excluding the amd ryzen 5 2600, which I will overclock to match the X version of the cpu
Mobo- fits budget, preferably no compatibility issues with hyper 212 evo, but mainly can be used for further upgrades and overclocking (not extreme overclcoking. just enough so that my cpu/gpu don’t bottleneck each other)
Ram- good enough that it works and will continue to work (not planning to overclock) I’m liking the team Vulcan ones due to their cheapness and decent ratings (also looking to keep them for awhile(so not looking to upgrade if I upgrade my pc)

Sorry this is my last post hopefully, just trying to get the best out of my pockets, front my pc, and from the Black Friday deals coming up, so I am trying to get the most information from pros. Therefore, i hope my appreciative ness is transpiring through.

Those are good, maybe check if you can get the Ryzen 7 1700 instead of the 2600. cost little more.
