New CPU cooler

I am looking to replace the stock fan I am using with an AMD FX 8350. I am slightly restricted on size, my case is a Lian PC-V350B MATX.

Previously I have been using a Ninja Mini CPU Cooler, this cooler is just about the maximum size I can go to. I would still use this if I hadn't missed placed the AMD clips required to hold it in place, unfortunately these have now been discontinued so I don't think I will be able to get any parts for these now??

My other thought was to leave the stock CPU fan and instead, cut a hole in the side panel closest to the CPU, then mount a fan their to help remove heat build up in the case.

Any suggestions??

what kind of temperature do you get with your 8350 under load with stock cooler? the case is kinda small so i'm curious

I will have to double check this. I don't use my PC for games, just movies.

A very good cooler for your situation would be the Raijintek Zelos Low Profile CPU Cooler.
It is cheap and very good value.

If you can fit it the Raijintek Pallas 140mm Low Profile CPU Cooler would be better.

If money is no issue and you want a very high performance cooler you could always get the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 CPU Cooler

I will have to double check this. I don't use my PC for games, just movies.

If you don't play games and don't overclock then you won't need an aftermarket cooler, stock cooler will be just fine

The stock coolers are quite noisy so if that is a consideration and aftermarket cooler may still be necessary
