So, I just upgrade my cpu in my computer. I had the Athlon ii x4 630 and put in the fx 6350. When I booted into the already installed windows 10 the os usually crashes almost immediately upon logging in. Sometimes it runs for a little while until the cpu is put under load. I re-installed the cpu just to be sure but the same problem continues. I fear that it has something to do with the os. I was foolish and did not backup the hardrive when I installed 10 a month ago.
Do you guys have a clue as to what is going wrong?

Here are my specs:

MB-Asrock 890fxx deluxe5
CPU-(from)AMD Athlon ii x4 630 (to) AMD FX 6350 vishera
RAM-8gb corsair duel channel
HD-1T seagate
PS-650W

No, it was BIOS 1.9. I just flashed the 2.0 bios but I'm still getting the same problem.

I'll load up Linux and try to stress test it. If that kills it then the hardware would be the culprit.

It looks like the cpu is not working. I ran linux and an older version of windows and it still crashes. I guess it was DOA. I just find it odd that it sort of works but not really. Usually with these things either they work or they don't.
