[SOLVED] New CPU Fan Temp issues

I recently upgraded to the i9 9900 CPU and was using the stock fan that it comes with and getting temps around 60degrees i ordered a new CPU fan ( DeepCool Gammaxx GT ARGB) CPU COOLER. I removed the thermal paste the stock fan had left on the cpu and applied new paste. When starting PC up i was getting constant 100degrees CPU temps, due to the size of the heat pipes and metal plate on the bottom of of the cooler i put more paste directly onto the pipes. Now im getting fluctuating temps between 50 and 100 copnstantly whilst idling on 1-2% utilization. Why would the temps be fluctuating so much and what could the issue be? I'm almost at the point of using the stock fan again.

which motherboard are you using? Could be a BIOS update issue

clean the paste again, don´t use more than necessary

I did a BIOS update and seems to be working perfectly now, i guess they were just giving false readings, thanks.
