New CPU Heatsink for socket A: NOX Hummer H100, will it work?

Hi. After thinking about it and because temps are getting higher and higher here where I live, I have decided to get rid of my "modded" CPU heatsink ( a 70 mm Cooler Master on which I put another Cooler Master's i117 XDream's 90 mm fan ), and put abetter one (I want a 95W dissipation even If the max TDP of the Athlon on which It'll be mounted is 65W), so I have choosen the NOX HUMMER H100 85 mm from this site:

Although it is clearly stated there that it is compatible with Athlon processors...

...and so with the Socket A platform, I want to know what is your experience installing this NOX product in this type of socket.

I have noticed that the metal pin\lever that keeps the HS in place seems to be longer in the NOX's HS, althoug the part that attach it to the bracket has a mobile part. Should it be modified or will it work like that?.

Well, for those who want to know I have to say that this CPU Heatsink is NOT compatible with socket A processors, nor Athlons, of course. No matter what the site where you usually bought say. I have now to make a retention system designed for it from scrarch... 🙁

Anyway... here´s what I´ve done (I put the schematics, I have no camera to make photos with).

First of all you must take rid of the retention bracket that comes with the CPU HS, it´s worthless. Then apply the thermal compound with the technique you prefer (I prefer to cover the CPU chip with a thin layer of compound).

Then,with an 1 mm steel wire, you have to make a shape like in the picture, it must fit into the hollow where the retention bracket should be. Make it so its total length is the same as the one of the socket A retention bracket, The height of the parts that will attach to the socket must have the same height as the NOX´s bracket has.

Then you have only to follow the steps of the picture, use a plier to twist the central loop being careful so the HS is centered and you´re done!! Make a quick review of the BIOS Health status before start doing things with your PC because you´ll find like me with 102ºC temps!!, all because the homemade retention bracket moved and the HS does not sit properly on the CPU chip.
