[SOLVED] New CPU installed, fTPM/PSP notification keep showing up

Hi,

So I had a Ryzen 5 3600 but wanted to upgrade it and installed new Ryzen 5 5600. Now when booting im getting this notification all the time: "new CPU installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed". I keep pressing N coz i actually didnt have any bitlocker or encryption, not that i knew.

If i type tpm.msc it shows that there is no TPM module.

Windows was working normally on the old CPU, so is probably on the new one(im assuming) but just this thing keep showing up when i start my PC.

Im afraind pressing Y if that changes something, i have windows connected to my Microsoft account so i dont actully need a recovery key?

Bios was updated before, so it works on the new CPU. This Bios version was also working normally on old CPU.

just press Y, nothing bad should happen as youre able to boot with N selection, so yea bitlocker is off

Honestly, if you have windows 11 installed, just disable fTPM and you'll be fine.

Its what I do on my machine, because Windows 11 only actually uses fTPM for Windows Hello and BitLocker. That's it.

So leaving it disabled will be fine, the OS won't complain, which is ironic given its a requirement when installing...

EDIT: Just saw you have Windows 10, even better. disable fTPM and leave it alone.

So on my new CPU in bios Settings i have AMD fTPM switch setting enabled on AMD CPU fTPM, so its better to disabled it here in Bios if im using windows 10? Or is it better for safety reasons to keep it so, but it can affect system performance no?
