Hi guys,

I have recently installed a new CPU in my PC and upon reboot I get no display on my monitor. Looking inside the PC I can see that the GPU fan spins for a couple of seconds and then stops for a couple of seconds and does this continuously.

My PC specs are:

Motherboard - ASUS® Z97-P: ATX, LG1150, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs

Graphics Card - 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970

RAM - 8GB HyperX BEAST DUAL-DDR3

CPU - Intel® Core i5-4690K

I upgraded my CPU to the Intel i7-4790k.

I have tried reseating the memory and even booting up with each stick missing at a time as some forums suggested and reseating the GPU but had no luck. I then put the original CPU back into my PC but still get no display.

Any ideas on why this is?

Many thanks

I've tried a CMOS clear and that didn't worked. I've even tried taking the GPU out and using the onboard graphics but still no luck.

Unfortunately I don't have another PC to do that. I have had another pair of eyes look at it and it looks as though one of the pins is bent in the CPU socket on the motherboard so I believe that is the issue and I'm gonna attempt to straighten it out.
