Okay, so I bought this AMD FX 8350 to replace my AMD Phenom II 965 because I got a GTX 770 and wanted to get more performance from that. This is not my first time putting in a cpu, so I was pretty confident and really do not know what could be wrong and think for the worst. I put this bad boy in and everything comes on except the screen does not come on. The cpu was the only thing I replaced so I assume it is the problem. Where I think the problem may have occurred is that I manually went into the bios to overclock my Phenom and changed the volts from 1.4 to 1.5. I don't know if that might have caused the FX to short out or something, but maybe. I have tried doing the jumper method with the pins and the cmos reset with the battery. Neither of these worked and I am thinking I might try putting the Phenom back in just to check and see if it still works and that the BIOS reset. Any help with this is greatly appreciated and if you think the cpu might have shorted or something I can probably return it to amazon for new one.

When was the last time you did a BIOS update? You may need an updated BIOS to run your new processor, not 100% sure since I'm not an AMD man, but that is often a cause of problems when upgrading CPUs :-/ You would need to put your old CPU back in, flash new BIOS, then put new one in.
