So a month or two ago I installed a new CPU, a new MOBO and new RAM and my PC just starts lagging and freezing sometimes turning into a black screen or just glitching out. I don't really know how to explain it, but once I was chatting with people on Skype and I pressed the Opera button in the taskbar and my PC screen just froze and turned black with the mouse in the middle. Once it froze and it was showing the desktop background but the background was glitched out everywhere. GTA 5 started lagging too and I didn't even change the settings, it used to work fine on my old CPU, every other game runs fine except for GTA 5 which is lagging for no reason.

The specs are:
i5-6600
GTX 960 2GB
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM
ASRock H110M-HDV
Kingston V300 120GB SSD
Western Digital 500GB HDD

Solution
the 960 recommends a 400w but that is usually considering you're not powering a multitude of other devices at the same time. hitting your power limits could be an issue but i would leave that as a last resort for the cause of the problem.

all chipset & other drivers are up to date?
have you monitored what processes are running by default with Windows?

try reseating all cables.
you should try running off of just onboard graphics and see if issue still persists. after that,
also try running with each stick of RAM separately. also in different DIMM slots.
